Ted lead p3

A family pet cat has been missing for two months in the Greenfield area of Saddleworth.

Ted, a four year old British blue short hair has been the Huzar’s family pet for three years and went missing on 7 October 2015.

Since the beginning of October there have been six cats reported missing in the Saddleworth area.

He has distinguishing features, he does not look like the cats you see on a day to day basis. He has a short hair coat which is grey and he looks very fluffy, he has chubby cheeks and piercing bright orange eyes. However as he has been missing for two months now he may look thinner and fragile if seen on the street.

The last sighting of Ted was around Berry Brow, which is five minutes away from the Huzar’s house off the private road of St. Mary’s Drive.

Ted lives with Alex, 21, and Joe, 23, Huzar who are brothers and Ella Clarke, 19, Alex’s girlfriend. Diane and Stephen Huzar are living in London at the moment for work but are deeply saddened by Teds disappearance.

There had been a few sightings of a cat that met Teds description in the middle of October around Grayson Way, which is fifteen minutes away from Teds house. However Alex and Ella set up a cat trap the day after they heard news of the sightings, but there was no luck.

Shortly after this Greenfield encountered some torrential rain and gale force winds, Alex Huzar said: “Before we knew it it was bonfire night so we suspect that someone has taken him in. Probably a resident around the street where he was last seen.

“Our biggest fear is that Ted has been taken and they don’t want to return him as he is so beautiful and docile.

“We didn’t put a tracker on him because he has never been outdoorsy. He’s only been going outside for the past year, so it’s a new experience for him.

However after the bad weather we think around bonfire night somebody took him in as we haven’t heard of any sightings since”.

The family told us that he has never scratched anybody and is very relaxed cat. He likes sleeping and sitting in the washing machine and boxes, aswell as pushing things off shelves. Diane Huzar added: “We can’t have ornaments around as he just swips them off for the fun of it”.

Flyers have been posted around the town but despite their best attempts they keep getting ripped down. Recently Alex and Ella have gone door to door with over 1500 flyers to keep Ted on peoples minds and hopefully get him back before Christmas.

There are a collection of  heartwarming videos on youtube where you can see how sweet and playful Ted is as he plays innocently in a box please see http://www.youtube.com/tamesideeye/ted.

If you see any cat which matches Ted’s description do not hesitate to contact Alex Huzar on Facebook/ ring 074151329.
